[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

NiN I used to write too. Sadly I don't have a lot of it anymore. Most of it died with my last computer (HD was unrecoverable) and the stuff on paper got lost in a move.... I managed to recover some of it though (stuff I'd posted to a blog or sent to friends). If I find anything good I'll post it

EDIT: I've actually got 2 sorta-decent ones. Let me know if you want to see them and I'll post them up

sure go ahead and post it:), here lets see how much of this i can remember..

As i look upon this barren field stricken of life stricken of need, i hear something calling out to me like a whisper in the wind i hear it saying, let me lye in sorrow, let me lye in peace, please rescue me, and as i ponder what this all could mean a thought occurs to me.

OK, as requested.

Storm Warning
Dark clouds rolling in, piling high, blocking the sky
Sun vanishes and darkness falls
The storm is brewing and I dread the onslaught
The distant thunder rumbles, a foreboding warning of things to come
Wind gusting, dust assaulting my eyes.. .and I wait for the coming storm
The first fat drop falls, then three more splatter nearby
Pelting down, splattering against my skin, streaming down my face
An icy cold wind brings goose bumps to my skin
I can hear the drops before they hit the ground, the whispering rushing sound
And rapidly soak the thirsty ground
The rain soaks my clothes and sticks to my skin, and soon soaks me to the bone
I shiver in the wind and watch the rain fall
I wonder how long it will last this time around...
I dread the storm; hate the noise, angrily pulling wet clothes away from skin
I shiver and stand, no longer attempting to stay dry
I stand and watch? alone
But as I stand alone, the ran slackens,
The droplets easing their assault.
A break in the clouds and rays of gold stream down
And I know....
I know
That every storm brings
The cleansing of
The rain

Untitled
I found a friend last night
As we walked along the beach
We talked about many things
About life, death and us
The time flew by
Yet crawled slowly on
Distracted by some motion
I turned aside to see
Yet when I turned back
My friend I could no longer see
I searched and looked
For where he might have gone
Vanished without a trace
Yet oddly still there
(But out of reach)
?Where are you?? I hollered
And I heard the echo bounce off the cliffs
I hear a noise behind me
And hopefully I turn
Only empty night is there
?Come back!? I plead and scream
Then sit down to die
My friend is gone and there is nothing left to live for
Suddenly I feel a presence behind me
?GO AWAYI? I yell, whirling in anger
Who dares disturb my pity party?
My Friend stands there, hands outstretched
?I never left? He says
?Remember my promise when we met?
The part about never leaving
Never forgetting will bind me to you
Always?

You got a facebook page for your photography? I'll follow it

Facebook and Google+ down the line, yeah. The website is top priority though, I just need somewhere to put them all up for now. On that note, here's a basic version of the revised layout. Responsively-designed to scale down to about 200px window width. Best viewed with a window width of above 950px.

There's one intermittent issue with it... trying to iron it out now.

Actually, I could really use feedback on this. The goal is a fluid grid layout of 3:2 boxes, with three sizes (regular, large, and vertical), with equal margins. The boxes should all fit into place so there aren't large open gray spots. See this:

EDIT: To be clear, I mean clicking the link in the post I quoted, and trying it out.

Not bad so far. Could be somewhat restricting for showing off panoramic shots.... not sure what you've got in mind for that

Check out the functionality of the proof-of-concept page I finished last night and wasn't happy with. The new gallery will work in a similar manner, the grid is merely the overview/thumbnail page, if you will. Click on the images to view the full version, except for the top two (large image and vertical image). They don't have the full-version functionality.

Also, this.
