Positive you are entering the filename exactly correct? Also try using a different usb port, and maybe reinstalling the drivers...

when i extracted the 4.2 image it wont open...

I don't recall ever having to type "Windows" in any of my fastboot adventures

Its the file name. If he changes is to just fastboot then you can just write fastboot.

Tough day at work. Shoulders/back/ legs STILL sore after soaking in a hot bath.... but I've got Chatter to keep me company while I ponder flashing a 4.2 ROM or stay with stock 4.2 and await AOKP's 4.2 to release a stable(ish) build
