The death march of the GNex has started. Final uptime? Just short of 1100 hours (45 days), with the hotspot active until five minutes ago. It barely receives a signal at all now, and when the hotspot is on it goes crazy. Bouncing in and out of roaming, LTE on and off...

I knew it was going to happen.. I just didn't want it to happen yet.

45GB over the past week, but I'll have more accurate figures after talking with a friend at Verizon who keeps an eye on my account for me. Since I got the Thunderbolt, we've had an ongoing monthly contest for data usage because we both use our phones in similar ways for internet access.

Well it's officially official. Within a few weeks I'm getting a Nexus 7 (just a 16gig), and possibly one for my parents.

I've started skimming the N7 forums already, but are there specific threads/posts/articles that would be useful to me? Chances are for the first while I'll be running it stock (maybe rooted), so that when I get the inevitable "tech support call" from mom or dad that I know exactly what they're looking at.

And I've been running stock 4.2.2 on my Gnex for a while now, so I'm pretty comfortable about that part. Just "tips and tricks" stuff I guess. Apps I'll figure out as I go
