Don't freak out about the processor speed. It's dual-core. I have a 1.8hgz Celeron, and the thing is pretty damn fast considering the low specs. I have an older model Acer and overall am very impressed considering how much it was at retail (~$349). If you want to save a little money, call up your area stores (or stores as far as you're willing to drive) and see if they have any machines on clearance...a while back Best Buy clearanced a bunch of machines when Windows 8 came out because they came with Windows 7....and Windows 8 is horrible.![]()
I don't know....acer? Never considered them. I would cough up an extra 50 and spec up a little. My daughter has a 300 dollar ASUS and has never had issues. She is 13 and DLDs everything.

Hell yeah.Yeah, asus is a great company. I'll be in the market for a computer that can handle massive amounts of gaming and can render images at a good pace since I'll be going to college for video game design. I'm looking at an asus right now but it'll cost me. You have to pay a good price to get a good computer and to me, this is worth it.
You can look at it here: Asus Laptop With Windows 7 Home Premium,ZenBook Prime UX32A-DB51 - Walmart.com
Of course you don't want to pay that muchbut at least it's not as steep as the one with the 256Gb solid state drive ;D ($1,500) I feel like I talk too much.

There is truth in this. Then that's not what you want at all. I can tell you right now, you're going to want to get a desktop and just get a cheap laptop to take with you places. That graphics chip won't handle what you're wanting to do. You'll want to get something that has a dedicated card, the latest hardware...I don't think a laptop will suffice for you with what you're wanting to do, or it will be astronomically expensive.
