Yes, I agree one should always check coverage first!
In lucky to have great coverage with Sprint most of the places I go to. The places where Sprint isn't very good no one else is either, so I'm fine for now.
If by 2015 T-Mobile has the same or more coverage than Sprint and prices are better I would probably jump ship.

Would love the option to go with tmo. Tried sprint and that didn't pan out here as the city has several huge dead spots with them. I think tmo has better coverage in the city but denver looks to be patchy and I travel there often. Everyone at work has phones on all the networks, but only verizons signal actually penatrates the building lol. I just need to justify not having sevice at times if I chose #4.
Read many articles claming jump was this tremendous deal compared to vzw and at&t, but the numbers don't add up. Sure, they discount jump, but then make you purchase insurance that is almost worthless so in the end, I didn't really see the savings.
If we were talking several hundred dollars savings, then maybe, but I think the old *choose your network first* should be the gold standard because the cost of all these early upgrade programs are pretty dang close on the basic plans. If you *need* large amounts of data, then tmo or sprint stand out for sure, but most consumers use around 2-4gigs anyway.
In the end, choice is good and good on tmo for putting pressure on the industry, though forcing the jump fee after the discount is not much better than anyone else because that insurance is really quite the scam with the amount they charge on the phone up front and deductibles they charge.
