[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

Nope. It's a bit different from baseball...

Yea, I figured!
I guess I'll need to watch it to find out about it.

Still, 5 or so games between only 2 countries seems really silly.
For any sport!

I could say the same about soccer. I don't understand it but I understand cricket.

I understand association football, even though I don't follow it. I have no clue what cricket is about (but we don't really have cricket here in US).

Yea, since we don't play that in M?xico or the places I've lived in the states, I just don't know anything about it.

What is it Chetan?

It stands for One Day International:)
There is basically a day of cricket played. where games last for 8 hours if both teams are good. If the team is bad and all get out then they can be shorter matches. There are 5 ODI matches played over 5 weeks.

It isn't if you know how the games of cricket are. Its a bit unpredictable since people expected India to lose the third match but they made a comeback. Some teams like to assess the other team before going hard and that's what India did, they flexed their muscle in the third match( that was a bit stupid though. Shoulda gone on the attack midway through the second match) so I mean one match cannot decide anything 5 matches are a reasonable amount of matches besides its one game every week so its not that bad.

Do the same two countries play in each 5 ODI matches, or are there different countries playing in each of the 5 matches?

So does that mean India and NZ are the 2 best countries in the sport of cricket?

No no, its just a series between 2 countries for example Australia is playing England at the same time NZ is playing India. I don't know how many other countries are doing an ODI series in the rest of the world lol, I only care about NZ and India;P

long time no see. Figured I'd drop by to see if anyone was still keeping this thread active - and it appears things are alive and well!

Hope you guys are doing good!

Blizzard is apparently over, but no school tomorrow. So far we've had class 3 times out of 6 scheduled classes for my Monday/Wednesday night course. Yech.

Okay. So they can play from, lets say 3 hours, up to 8?
5 times once a week? 😲:eek::o
And that doesn't feel extenuating and silly?:what:

I'm sorry but I don't see how 5 matches are reasonable. I guess for hardcore, really hardcore people on any sport that would be reasonable, but really think about it.

5 games of the same, once a week and prolonged periods of time?
Sorry but no, hell no! 😝😆

Anyway, I respect that you really, really love this game.
I now realize that cricket isn't for me. Definitely not!

So, what's new?

Hmm... lost my day job, only working part time right now (and trying to figure out how to make a part time income cover a wife, and 2 step kids). Still rockin the Gnex - looking at spring for a upgrade. waiting for this brutal winter to end, other then that - not much.
