[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

Re: [Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

I definitely enjoyed building snowmen and throwing snowballs when I was a kid.

My daughter has seen a lot more snow, but for my little boy this is the first good snow he has ever seen! They even made a little snowman.

I did enjoy parasitology, but that's probably because some of the real parasites reminded me of something from a Stephen King horror novel.

Bacteria are cool, but so are parasites.

Parasites are way cool!

My interests lie in physics & cosmology when it comes to science, biology just doesn't do it for me. There are definitely some subjects within it that I can get on board with, such as some of the amazing things that evolution has done, but the subject is so vast and topical that it seems like hardly anyone has a high level comprehensive perspective to begin from, so all discussions seem to start at atoms and cells and move up. These enzymes blah blah, you should care about the environment, this, that. Dude, I'd be content living in the death star with synthesized oxygen, even if it were me and nothing but androids.

I frigging LOVE Biology! It isn't for everyone, but the physiology piece is really where it is at for me. Amazing how anatomy and organ systems cam be tweaked, turned on or shut off with medicine. Pathology is another favorite of mine as the study of Virus's and Bacteria are just fascinating.

You are right, there is no such thing as a finite understanding of the matter, though they think our mating with neanderthals is where we get our propensity to smoke. A study links the DNA.

The DNA studies in Biology are frigging off tha hook interesting! Cadaver labs, not so much.
