So how's this for a pickle? In my new position I'm supposed to work no more then 38 hours a week if at all possible (any overtime has to be approved). Right now I'm scheduled to be working on the floor 38 hours which means any office work either doesn't get done or is done on overtime. To get me off the floor a bit I need to hire another worker or 2, but to do scheduling, or run interviews, I need to be off the floor. But to get off the floor, I need to hire someone, or rework the schedule so I can get off the floor. Buuuut if I'm already on the floor all of my alotted hours....I can't get any office work done unless it's in overtime (which they want to avoid if possible, partly to reduce overhead costs, partly because they don't want to overwork their employees) Ahhh the joys of being a team leader lol
