Random question, but does anywhere know where I can find the original Galaxy Nexus (4.0.x) boot animation? Just the .zip file that I can put in that one folder on my phone, is all I need. Which ROM(s) in particular use that original boot screen, so I can just extract it from there?

you can pull it from bugless beast or another "stock" ics rom. it's in system. pretty sure it's not a zip tho, it'll be a folder with the png files or whatever.
if you want a flashable zip i would run a google search or run thru xda for it. unless someone's got the file for ya.
there's a slim chance i have it in my dropbox on my cpu at home i can check when im outta work.

Actually yeah its a zip but not a flashable one, it's just called bootanimation.zip and it's usually in /system/media, tho sometimes it's placed in /data/local. Only difference is that if anything is in the latter it will override the former

Yep, that's what I'm looking for. I still don't quite get the difference between those two locations, though; when I was on Jelly Belly, I had flashed a Trinity kernel (which gives a new boot animation), then when I got back up and running, I put the stock Jelly Bean bootanimation.zip in the /data/local folder. Next time I booted, said Jelly Bean animation played. I didn't flash anything or change anything with the files after that, but every time my phone booted up after that, it was back to the Trinity boot animation.

That's a bit odd.. I mean, for me I just use /system/media when it comes to bootani's. So just delete whatever bootanimation.zip is there and replace it with your own, perhaps the /data/local thing isn't solid or has changed in JB? Idk.
