Had Argentinian tapas with the gf tonight. Hi light was the sauteed mussels... and dos gin martinis of course.

Had a nice cigar earlier and now I'm finishing off my second bottle of champagne (all we had in the house and I wasn't about to go pick up booze.)

So who wants to hear about my fun night? Yea fun might be a little too happy for it I would say. So around 3:30-4 I was done studying and just got home from running a quick errand or 2 and Dylan told me over the AOKP was up. As soon as I got home I started to download it and all seemed to go well until I wanted to transfer the file to my phone....
Plugged my phone into the computer and it was fine and went to transfer the aokp zip over to my phone and it gave me the message "Cannot Complete Copy: Your device has been disconnected or has stopped responding.". Stand windows 7 error. First instinct was unplug and replug...no good. Rebooted phone and computer...no good. Wiped cache on phone...no good. Uninstalled/reinstalled drivers through device manager...no good.
Now here comes the weirdest part, plugged my Nexus 7 in and when I tried to copy the same file over just to see if it was my computer or phone it gave me the same error. Sigh of relieve that it wasn't my phone but also annoying that I had no idea what the issue was. Broke out my laptop to try and copying any file on my laptop for both my devices worked fine. So troubleshooting concluded with something was wrong with my PC.
So what did I do......... reformatted my hard drive. Luckily I have a separate traditional hard drive for storage and my OS/Applications are on my SSD so Windows install was pretty painless. Installed all the necessary stuff and updated. All was working well. I needed to do this anyway since when I first built this machine, during the SSD optimization process I did something wrong and I kept getting error message because of my temp folders.
Went to plug my phone into my computer, it installed the drivers like normal and seemed like my issue was fixed. Nope. Same error message when copying that file over. I was BAFFLED. Tried it again with my N7 and my gf's GS3, all giving me the same error. Deleted drivers again and did a manual install process with WUGs and still no luck. At this point I was so annoyed that I ready to curse off this phone and buy another (Ask Dylan I was gtalking with him trying to troubleshoot... I was so angry I did the unmentionable... mentioned getting an iPhone).
So after my going into a murderous rage I thought of something... on my laptop I transferred a completely different file and on my PC, even after the reformat I tried transferring the same file since it was stored on the HDD that I didn't wipe. So, plugged my phone back into the computer and tried to transfer a different file and................................ WORKED! Tried on the N7 just for my paranoia and worked as well.
Apparently, the AOKP zip I was trying to download must have been corrupted during the download process. Meanwhile I was thinking at first the internal memory of my phone was messed up or my computer was telling me to F**K OFF.
Moral of the story... I reformatted my computer for a corrupt file. Average Friday night I would say. I drank... A LOT last night lol. In the end I guess it pushed me to format my PC anyway but still... can't believe I formatted my PC basically for no reason. Thank god installing Windows 7 on an SSD only took 20 minutes and updated took about 30.

Hate when that happens. I went through a bunch of hoopla before (not nearly as much as you) because I had USB fast charge enabled in my kernel.

However, over the years that I have built, fixed, repaired or done anything with a computer I usually find it easier and quicker to just reinstall your OS when you have a problem that you can't figure out. In this situation, it was overkill and extremely overkill I would say. Good thing is this morning I downloaded the AOKP build and flashed to my phone and I have clean SSD.

Fresh windows install is always nice too (looking on the bright side). I desperately need to wipe my pc and start from scratch again. But, my ssd is nearly full so I may see if I can hold off until I can purchase a larger one.

My mower is fd up. I think the blade is loose but I can't turn the machine over without draining all fluids BC its a damn ready start no prime and the gas will get all in engine and really break the thing. And I'm too lazy to drain it.
Don't buy yard machine. They're awful. Sucks you have to spend 300 to get a decent mower.

Man, I wish I could get a mower for $300. I'm borrowing one right now since I don't have the funds to buy what I really need. I'm thinking I need near a grand, and that's just to get into the used market.

If you had 2 beers yesterday. It was more than I had and it was my yearly aging day. Drove out to the sticks for the weekend. 6hour drive. Air is nice out here. So the beer will be better later
