Literally just got it last month. Not sure how long we're staying here though, so going through the process of canceling and all that jazz is not high up on my priority list.

Gotcha. I'm locked in for the next almost 2 years with my ISP. The odds of me having any other options during that time are incredibly slim though. I can only see dial-up or satellite as alternatives, and neither of those is viable for me.

I'm glad Verizon do'sent do contracts on HSI. They only options where I live is Comcast which is fast, but requires contracts now, VZ HSI(No FiOS here yet), and dialup. Comcast is $70/month which includes a data cap. As far as I know VZ do'sent have a cap on HSI.

I'd much rather have comcast than dsl. Comcast's internet is actually pretty decent. I can't stand their cable tv, but the internet never gave me a problem. Unfortunately, it's not an option for me here. And their cap is somewhat reasonable at 250GB/month. I had a hard time getting close to that, and I download a lot.

I have never liked comcast. And since I dont have cable with them they want around 70 bucks a month. I know its fast, my parents still have the 100mbps they got over 7 years ago. Even the $300 a month business plan dosent give those speeds anymore. But I'll take DSL for half that a month. Also if I really need to dl something fast I can tether my nexus and get 10-15 mbps over the 5 im getting.

I think I was paying around $60 for comcast and that gave me 30/15 I think. Now I'm paying a decent amount more for 25/3. It'd be laughable if it wasn't about the only high speed option.

Tethering isn't much of an option for me either, since my service at home is only 3G.

I would do some bad things to have access to Google fiber.
