[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

Here's a shot of the golden gate bridge for you non California guys. I had to cruise over it on the way home yesterday.

Man, I'm still kind of drunk. And at work.

And I don't remember all of last night - what happened? haha

All I know is there was pseudo-flashing, and then I hit my face on cabinets trying to get beer/water, and I forgot about THAT until this morning when I woke up and wondered why my face hurt.

Sounds like you had a bit of fun :D

Was that when you disappeared for a while? And you were definitely amusing.

I can only assume. I don't remember saying goodbye to you guys, so if I just bailed, whoops. If we all had a consensus goodbye, good. Either way, I don't remember much. Hahaha

Got back home from driving my GF home last night and I put the TV on and passed the f out. Was going to come back on, but literally sat down on the couch and was too lazy to move and get my laptop lol.

Ended up taking a sleeping pill to force myself asleep. Now that was a terrible decision.

How bad is your head right now lol.

Edit: Just checked the Verizon converage map and now I am considered a 4G extended area. Sweet now getting 4G speeds which are actually just as fast if not faster than my damn WiFi. Win.

I wonder how all the new LTE iPhones are going to impact data speeds. My data has slowed down quite a bit in the last year after Verizon started carrying the iPhone.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it will make an impact across any carrier that is supporting the new LTE iPhones. How could we say it wouldn't? Its more bandwidth being used/accessed as iPhone junkies realize how much faster they can stream video's, etc...

I wish there was a way to break up things.. I've discussed this with my XBOX gaming friends in the past when we play games like Gears of War or COD, etc. that have a "host" and feed of a host's connection to an extent. Sure there are dedicated servers but still these games have a host and host always has a little advantage over other gamers regardless of what anyone wants to say... But to my point we have always discussed there should be a "minimum" requirement for playing these games with good lag free quality and we have talked about why doesn't MS get together with the ISP's and such and create a "Pro Gamers Package" or something to that extent that is of higher quality speeds that are promised and those paying for this type of gaming package via a combined effort of MS and the ISP's are rewarded with gaming only with players using this same connection. Basically I pay for upgraded, better service to game I should be rewarded by only playing against players with high quality connections too so I don't have to deal with a laggy player that is sponging hits, etc.. There is nothing worse than having a good group of players running solid ISP speeds then have 1 or 2 laggy ass "economy" internet packages come in and lag up the room because their ISP speed isn't fast enough to keep up with the rest of us, in return ruining the game play for everyone.

Same goes for cellular companies, it would be nice to have a specialty package where if I wanted to pay an extra $5 or $10 a month for above average LTE service or whatever I should be rewarded with it instead of having to take a hit being in a market or area saturated by a million iPhone junkies or Android junkies that are sucking down the bandwidth leaving everyone a hit in speed.

Just a thought, I know it will probably never happen but it would be a nice option to have on both fronts.. ISP for gaming/online experience and cellular companies for the "above" average user that is willing to pay an extra buck for the bang.

Yea I can say for sure that in area (tristate area) the data service speed has dropped significantly since the iPhones came out and more so when the 4S came out. Since then it has almost been a pain to use 3G. I loved when I was in a place where there was 4G, it was so nice :).

Lucky. See the pin sitting in the middle of a nice 3G corridor in the image below? Yeah, pretty much where I live...

Lol. You loving that makes me feel a lot better about not having LTE coverage at home in the foreseeable future. /s

Fortunately my home ISP nets me about 25-30 mbps down so wifi it is. My upload speed is pretty terrible, however.

4G'd'ness is so hit-or-miss where I live. Some places it's full, some places I barely have 3G. Sucks.

Hopefully my new place has LTE so I don't have to buy internet.

Honestly though, your 3G speeds might be better than mine. I can only imagine that in a large condensed area the service would be slightly slower. Even though they probably have more towers broadcasting, there is just such a high volume in one small area.

My 3G speeds have dropped to around 100 kbps during the day with LTE running between 1.5 to 7 Mbps. It's much faster late at night, but I usually like to sleep at night. :-)

I'm not looking forward to all the new LTE iPhones that will be on the network very soon. My speeds are bad enough with just LTE Android devices and modems (and the occasional LTE iPad). Alas, the days when I saw 20+ Mbps on LTE are long gone.

So whos getting an iPhone 5? I might just for the fun of it and then sell it for more than I paid for when they go out of stock everywhere.

That or take it to the nearest Apple store and in front of the long line of waiting customers try to sell it off like scalped tickets lol.

If I had 800 free dollars, I might buy one and do that.

Sadly, I can't spare that kinda change now that I'm spending more a month on rent :*(
