i am running aokp 34 not haveing any bugs is it worth updateing to the m5 or should i give it a few days thinking they may update soon with the new ota coming out?

M5 is great but we will probably see a new build incorporating the changes within a day or two..

Its really up to whether you detest wiping/setting up or not

My take on your situation:

The nightly builds like 33 34 etc are really good stuff. Us crackflashers install every single one of them. They are really solid. M5 is great too but there is no need to install every one.

With these custom roms you will not even get the notification to upgrade, mainly because you have a custom recovery. But guess what? AOKP or most any custom rom will be WAAAY better than any stock rom (which the update will be) could EVER hope to be.

He said he had to read the entire thread before he realized it was for unlocked/rooted devices. Did he even read the OP!!?? The first thing it says right after the warning is For unlocked, rooted. Then the next set of instructions was for unlocked, unrooted devices.

So annoying. I took a screenie of the OP and was going to post it in response to him and ask why he read the entire thread, when the instructions in the OP specifically said for unlocked, rooted devices... but it was already closed, LOL.

He either didn't read it at all, or he is just complaining to complain. I think it's both.

Okay... breathe... aaahhhhhhh.

I wouldn't be so sure we will see an aokp build based off our ota.. In fact I'd bet against it. Aokp has always been AOSP source based. The CDMA and LTE proprietaries are of course thrown in to make AOSP work on our device. But unless they decide to cherrypick props from the OTA, which could happen but might not even be worth the trouble for them, I don't think this ota will have any affect on their rom.... And same goes for all AOSP based roms, especially those with multiple devices to support.

Anyone notice a pretty big upsurge in rooting acceptance both in here and in the general section. Lot more threads in here and lots of activity the IMM76 threads.

The quasi OTA thing has done good. I just hope they read read read the guides. Aleviates frustration for them and us.

Yeah im glad I did it.. I was lazy to see what has changed since my first nexus but it was easy.. Nice having the new radios and I dont have to wait for whenever they freaking roll out the update or pull it and roll it out later because of some major problem they didnt find in the months of testing they have done.

This whole IMM76 thing reminds me of the weeks leading up to the release of this phone. Lots of speculation, people blowing off steam, bad info, general hot tempers. Multiple threads and moved and locked threads. Actually, I kind of like it, keeps the forum jumping. Every other top forum is DEAD compared to here. This is the best. )
