I often use that site. TKWeek is an Android app that also provides that functionality. I'm paranoid about deadlines though, so I'll also count the days using a calendar.
The Days Left widget is also really handy.

What deadlines are you worried about? Why the need to calculate days left? Excel has this functionality too. I'm paranoid about missing recurring monthly payments, so I've got a spreadsheet setup where I can track what and when I've paid. I also have bill due dates listed, and those cells employ conditional formatting to change background colors to highlight when I'm nearing a payment required date.
Excel is also a lifesaver when it comes to displaying an amortization schedule for loans. Helps me track how much I'm paying in interest and how much equity I have in my loans. I also relied on it heavily when looking to purchase in terms of budgeting given different terms of the loan. I love technology.

I need to calculate deadlines that are based on when events occur. It's annoying, but thank goodness for the hundreds of thousands of Android apps.

High dynamic range. It's a nice reminder of how much computing power we have in our phones. It's several pictures taken at different exposure levels and then combined into one picture.

I'm familiar with HDR, it's just that isn't much of an example. The brights (TVs/lights) are still way blown out. And the darks (front of the bar) are still underexposed.
IE - I'm just busting your balls.
