Well scratch that... Left the hospital and about 20 minutes later they called my phone and the radiologist said he looked again and its a broken thumb....

So now I get to drive back tonight and get the xrays to go see the orthopedic doctor tomorrow...

She's fine, just the crap that follows in the coming days, weeks visiting the doctor. We all know there isn't much you can do for a finger or thumb but for insurance purposes you gotta jump thru the hoops.

Yep one of those Velcro wrist/thumb splints. I'm sure the ortho doctor will probably just leave her in that too instead of a regular cast. My youngest daughter broke her wrist last summer so this is all repeat.
