[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

A 1920x1080 screen has 2,073,600 pixels, while a 1280x720 screen has 921,600. Therefore, a 1080p screen has 2.25 times as many pixels as a phone with a 720p screen.

A 1080p screen measured by pixels has a diagonal of 2202 pixels. At 5 inches diagonal, that's 440.4 pixels per inch.
A 720p screen measured by pixels has a diagonal of 1468 pixels. At 4.65 inches diagonal, that's 315 pixels per inch... which we all know already.

Ridiculous? Sure.

In a good way. :)

This thread makes me eat too much. You have no idea.

I agree the resolution that the screens in mobile phones and tablets are reaching is an amazing thing..that is exactly what I meant when I said "ridiculous":D

Also I know the feeling lol I'm maintaining my weight but if my chatter habit persists and it will:D I may have start exercising more regularly to avoid gaining weight

Lmao I know dude.. after AB's post I ran and made a PB&J and grabbed a yogurt (Mom's house, really the only options :( ) just to stick something in my belly.

My computer keeps shutting down randomly think it's nearing the end of it's life span? it's about late two or three but closer to three years old also if you're it's plugged into the charger and it just shut down suddenly..

Spent the last 3 hours un-bricking my Gnex. Tried a ROM that rewrote the file system and I had a heck of a time getting back on AOKP. Flashing to stock and rooting was fine but flashing to AOKP it would just hang at the booth screen for 20 minutes. Stupid me forgot to copy my latest nandroid to the computer before I went crazy :-(

Computers have way more than two or three year life spans. At least double that.

After a quick math check:

Gnex ideal viewing distance: ~11 inches
5" 1080p ideal viewing distance: ~8 inches

Doesn't seem worthwhile. That's also not completely accurate as getting that close has other variables that alter one's ability to resolve images clearly that aren't taken into account here.
