[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

What's the issue that you're having with the Franco kernel. Haven't tried Trinity, but have been running leankernel versions with good results. Just flashed stable 2.6.0 yesterday and running well. Be sure to also flash the leantweaks script as well.

there's a popping sound when you hang up and sometimes when you pick up a call. happens on nightlies since build .. 94 or something, up until (at least) 97. havent flashed one since then so i'm not sure if it's been corrected.

i havent used trinity or imo's since ... january or february? except when trinity was baked into a build of axiom recently, and only then for a few hours.

I'll be checking out some kernels this evening after i finish up some reading.

Maybe flash a new for a spin as well.

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

I believe 97 didn't pop for me, but I also believe I had high-performance sound checked off.

word i havent checked any of the sound enhancers on, on any of these builds. i'll check his kernel thread at rootz later and see whats good in the changelog.

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

Was stuck on axiom boot ani for like 4 minutes there, nearly had a heart attack

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

^ havent tried liquid lately. not since tbolt days.

axiom v14 versus aokp b28 - any thoughts?

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

What does B28 feature?

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

Added lockscreen color changer
Added 'traditional' toggle layout [where the toggles are on the very top] (Stevepear426) -- find in RC > Statusbar General > Layout
Added AOSP lockscreen style (Whitehawkx)
Added extra volume slider options (Stevepear426, tmoskowite on gummy)
Added lockscreen calendar options (!!!) (sethyx)
Removed any trackball support the ROM had, was only throwing errors, not properly implemented
Improved brightness slider under toggles, doesn't jump anymore
Improved brightness slider (when sliding your finger across the statusbar if enabled). MUCH more responsive now
Added fast charge toggle for maguro/toro for kernels that support it (Zaphod-Beeble)
Added ability to set custom lockscreen image for targets. Click picture in RC to set.
Also increased size of custom lockscreen images to more match the normal icons
Improved
Including AppWidgetPicker to help organize widgets
Added digital clock widget to desk clock
battery bar should no longer disappear when in the navigation bar

prolly flash it this evening.

most likely the changes are merged into axiom anyway tho.

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

Traditional toggle layout = win.

I'm sure DT will integrate though.

I'm sure he'll get it out there tonight or tomorrow.

I'm going to flash aokp when i finish my reading tonight to remember what it's like without the th3ory extras.

Re: [Chatter] Galaxy Nexus Crackflashers/News/Discussion

Aokp b28 is lagging compared to monolith. I may have to suffer thru the ui "enhancements" while the revert package is being updated...

(pls excuse my snark)

What kind of lag are you experiencing? Running smooth so far on build 28 and leankernel 2.6.0. I especially like being able to call up the separate volume sliders for calls, notifications, and media by pressing a volume key and hitting the settings icon.

The volume settings is pretty awesome. I was lagging on homescreens, and playing flick quarterback, and with the stock keyboard while in chrome. It wasnt lagging at first, but after a few hours it started. Was using franco's nightly 98 overclocked to 1344.

I was going to try imo's but my mtp connection stopped working so i figured it was time to wipe data and flash something else. On the latest patient zero with trinity kernel atm.

Build 28 has been running great all day with leankernel 2.6.0. Have not encountered any lag so far. If you need a lk download link, let me know and I'll send you one.

I wasn't planning on flashing build 28 until I read in the changelog about the new volume settings feature.

Actually lk is available straight thru Franco's app now, not sure how come. I downloaded the latest lean but flashed a dt patient zero build to see if the speed difference was real or imaginary.

I've been following the leankernel thread over on Rootzwiki and saw a post where Imoseyon said he was collaborating with Franco. That's probably why lk is available through Franco's app.

What's your experience been with DT's version of AOKP? Based on what I've read I'm inclined to think there's quite a bit of the placebo effect going on.

yeah i thought that too at first. i've used a couple axiom builds, including both monoliths and some of the patient zero nightlies. I think there are definitely some gains (although they might be more temporary if you dont, say, flash another build of it two days later).

certain things stand out a bit to me - the force home in memory makes it so the homescreen doesnt redraw, but i notice other things redrawing alot more often (maybe bc of it). like browser, gallery, etc. i guess that spot for the memory is occupied by the homescreens might be pushing out other things that you're using, requiring the redraw.

and some other little things, but i am pretty sure the speed is there for axiom builds. I have not overclocked on any of them, and they are seemingly snappier than regular aokp.

All in all, they are good, and I'm very happy to have the aokp features bc i'm hooked on them. The rest i could do without but since these builds are available and i dont mind wiping data every couple days, i'll probably stick them out for a while.
