Yeah 4.04 is a little surprising, but I am basically the same way. except minimalistic approach to flashing/maintaining apps.

Basically flash for the fun of it, unless its the rom im loyal to at the moment.
 
Well, it looks like I'll be flashing AOKP build 29 very soon. Build 29 incorporates the new code from Android 4.0.4. Woohoo! :D

I'm curious if the radios are the same as the leaked ones.

I'll have to keep an eye out for b29. I'm overdue for a clean install.

Man these new builds for every rom be coming out hot an heavy. Its dam hard to decide which one to run. And 405 will come out next week. ;-P

yeah this phone is packed with roms. it's awesome.

i have spring break next week so i might try to flash a few that arent in my rotation.
 
Running build 29 now. There are some reported bugs with using custom wallpaper and icons on the lockscreen, but I don't use those features so not an issue for me. So far build 29 is running well and haven't noticed any differences compared with build 28. I've seen some reports that 4.0.4 should improve battery life, but haven't been running it long enough to say whether that's the case.

I am also on build 29. Excellent from and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to maximize the galaxy nexus. Fantastic dev support, phone runs better than I imagined.

I flashed CM9 last night. Actually, i flashed like 3 roms yesterday. Re-flashed patient z v15 to see if i could fix the bugs i was having (didnt, dunno whats up there), restored to v14 for some reason, installed javroch's clean aosp for a test drive (very smooth, everything works, just missing some features i cant really do without), then flashed cm9 to see how it is.

my cm9 quick pros and cons:
pros - nice toggles, very fast, what features there are currently seem to work well, has my advance-retreat tracks with vol buttons when screen is off.

cons - lots of features are merely placeholders. while everything functions, this rom is not ready for prime time yet. it's missing a ton of features aokp has had forever.

Anyway. All in all, it's good. Real quick. I would go so far as to say it rivals axiom in the responsiveness dept, with the kernel baked right into cm9 and no overclock or tweaks.

I like it. The ui has been spruced up. I been using the Xparent version but this may be better/nicer. I paid 4 bucks for the Xparent. Sigh oh well. :)

Yeah started using it last night... Its def an improvement but I think they really need to ICS-optimize it. Still lacking.

I agree! Flashed it last night and everything has been great. I haven't experienced any issues and everything runs faster and smooth.

Everything is going good for me with 2.8, and I decided to stick with Stable instead of Exp because I don't change much and I don't like the additional heat with the safety removed.

AOKP b29 with LeanKernel 2.8.0 is smooth as silk. This is why I have a Galaxy Nexus. :beer:
