[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

When we were there. My wife and I were talking about the OS names. There's an alphabetic system to them.

A- Android
B- ??? We were puzzled
C- Cupcake
D- Donut
E- Eclair
F- Froyo
G- Gingerbread
H- Honeycomb
I- Ice Cream Sammich
J- Jellybean
K- guess what's next...

Some kid there kept calling ICS ice cream sundae. His dad was getting pissed. Lol.

Fission Mailed from ParanoiaS3

A - Astro
B - Bender

The first two were named after robots but Google switched to desserts to prevent copyright infringement.

I think my favorite part about this is the way it's structured. You didn't eat them in the past, you aren't going to eat them in the future, just a statement about how you eat them in general. Sorta reminds me of Fry from Futurama (I believe he is talking with Mom in this quote):

Mom: Fry!! Don't be a fool!!
Fry: I'll be whatever I wanna do...

My fingers remain crossed; definitely keep us posted. I have an abnormal level of interest in this lol

Edit: Which of you guys use 2-step google authentication? And any tips for using TiBu to make it easier to get back up and running?

I use it for 2 of my 4 Google accounts, lol. I don't use the authenticator app though, it confuses me. Just authorize from the computer if I'm doing clean flashes or whatever.

Same here, no app. I downloaded it once and promptly removed it.

I guess I should have specified. The authenticator app is what I'm testing out. Hadn't used it before, but I'm giving it a go now. Just wondering if I can backup the app with data (expecting I can't). Otherwise I'll have to backup just the app and then reconfigure it at a computer. If I can back up the app with data it would make flashing on the run a bit easier.

No idea.. But my instinct is to assume it's a bad idea to restore data with it, like you said.

Maybe the next time I'm feeling adventurous I'll back it up with data and try it out. Worst case I'll need a clean wipe and fresh install. Since it apparently will work without a network connection I think there is a possibility it wont bork anything.

I use 2-step authentication for my important Google accounts and use the app on my phone to generate authentication codes. It come in handy when you're logging into your Google accounts from public machines where it's possible that your password can be captured by keylogging software. In those situations, logging in requires both your password and the code generated the app.

Been restoring the app and its data in TiBu for months without any problems. The app just generates codes based on the time, a seed value provided by Google, and an algorithm. The concept is similar to using RSA authentication codes to log into work networks via Citrix.
