physical keyboard Vs Virtual Keyboard?

For me a physical keyboard has always seemed clumsy...and just adds unnecessary bulk to the phone.

Physical keyboard, however, after using my Optimus for so long with such a small screen, I don't consider myself a full-on hater of on screen keyboards any longer. Happy to have one again for now but I don't expect to be able to have it be a deal breaker for a new device like it would have been in the past, it limits my choices by a lot.

I am able to adapt to either type of keyboard rather it be an onscreen keyboard or physical keyboard.I would say I wouldnt want a onscreen keyboard thats screen was smaller then my original Incredible is.At the same time I wouldnt want a physical keyboard that had tiny buttons cramped together .So in that case ,,it would depend on the size of the phone's buttons
Whichever the case the type I have is usually the coolest lol

Edit : My last 4 phones have been onscreen keyboards.The last phone I had with an physical keyboard was my BB 8330 (2009)

Loved having a physical keyboard on my droid 2. But I've yet to find another phone that was at least decent at the time of its release that had a physical keyboard. Looks like I'll be sticking with onscreen for the foreseeable future.

well, im strongly considering letting my verizon contract expire and switching to tmo unlimited or straight talk.

Im about to get fd in the a by verizon's shared data plans costing an arm and a leg for like no value whatsoever.

Don't know enough to comment accurately... but are there new API's for 4.2? If not, I guess you could.

im on a family plan with my mom since like ... 2002. she's going to upgrade to iphone5 in a few weeks. i'm not 100 percent sure, but i ahve a feeling this will force my secondary line into the new terms of the shared data plan.

if it didnt, i would suck it up for another contract cycle and wait till there is a phone worth buying on vzw and get it off contract.

Before I got a smartphone, I swore by the physical, now it just seems silly, and, a waste of space. I'm probably slightly more accurate on a physical keyboard, but, I see no reason to have one or waste space/resources on hardware.

Got it. In that case you're right. Just upgraded the GF's phone but did it off-contract to keep us on unlimited data (shared minutes plan).
