This is the way I'd recommend. I'd actually throw in a couple extra steps.
1) hook up new card to PC (use a card reader). Format it, then eject it.
2) plug in your phone and copy the old card's info to your desktop (or wherever)
3) unplug phone and power it down. Swap cards
4) power up phone and format your new card IN THE PHONE
5) plug in phone and copy your stuff back.
The reason for double-formatting it? just to be sure you won't have issues with corrupted files. I know cards have come a long way, but I ALWAYS double-format flash media (USB sticks, SDcards, etc) because I lost some files once. Not so much valuable data as sentimental stuff.... which is still crappy. Anyways...
Double format. So you waste an extra 5 minutes of your life being double-sure it's not gonna poop out on you later... not a big deal really

I've been in touch with a dev from Crossbones.org. Gonna be running his ROM over the weekend. Apparently he's got no Maguro testers, so I offered to try it out. I'll probably flash it later tonight, or tomorrow morning.

So an ex-coworker of mine is moving soon and I managed to snag her X2 for $50 if it can activate clean. Either way, got a shiny new toy to tinker with.

The pizza energy drink and lemonade combo is the substitute for a medium-rare-to-rare peppercorn-glazed filet, arnold palmers (non-alcoholic), wine or a bit of whisky, a caesar salad, and smooth vanilla ice cream.... when I don't have the money to eat that way.
Cyanogenmod 10.1 finally coming out for my skyrocket. It's got some bugs but I'm gonna flash tomorrow. Pretty stoked its finally out.

And here I sit for about an hour and a half. Couldn't get back to Saginaw. Had to settle for Detroit. Oh well. Time to watch people get pissed when their luggage doesn't show up. I'm allowed to laugh. It's happened to me a lot. Luckily today mine were dang near first.
