[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

I was really shocked by the game. I actually picked Seattle to win, but only by 1 TD. I really didn't expect a blowout.

Drove around the city for a couple hours after the game... people all over the place celebrating, blue and green lights everywhere... 12th Man everywhere...

Celebration everywhere tonight, the most intense of which was probably a couch and a couple mattresses lit up near the University of Washington.

Those aren't mine. Andrew Martonik has some good shots up on G+ too.

What is laudable, is how half the world are Broncos fans now and it will be just me and my clan tomorrow. Win or loose, high or low, we always walk with our heads held high, and bleed orange and blue....no fair weather fans here.....heart, soul, and class.

That said, a close friend of mine is a raiders fan....wearing black today loud and proud. I can't stand fair weather fans, or fans that think because they loose, it means something more than that. We made it to the big game, we did not bring our game, but we were there.....that is good enough for me. Besides, my wife made some delicious food, and my kids are all here, good drink, good company.....he'll yes brother go Broncos

With that said, my kids and I are playing some games and I am teaching them to be good sports and to loose with grace.

I've been a Seahawks fan since the 1978 expansion, and I cheered them on against their AFC West rival Broncos, even though they didn't win against the orange and blue as often as I hoped.

Now they've met each other in the big game, and I'm thrilled for the win, but I respect the Broncos achievements, and the way they went all out to earn their place there.

That being said, I've also been a father since 1984, and the lessons your kids are learning from you tonight are the very best kind. You're doing them quite a favor. You have every right to hold your head high, passing on the lessons of good sportsmanship and loyalty puts you in the best company possible. I salute you!

Yeah brother! You know, it was nice to salute Seattle for a job well done. That 12th man showed up and was effective. I know what it is like to be a long time fan and celebrate a Super Bowl win. Seattle finally gets that deservedly. People are shooting people here in Denver, taking things way to seriously! My kids got to watch the Broncos loose, still cheer for them, and most importantly, move through the rest of the night with laughter and having a good time.

People take these games to levels they should not be taken to. Kids watch parents yell, scream, be violent, and all kinds of other stupid stuff. I am sure all kinds of garbage when down........but not in this house and it sounds like your house is solid too. I salute you too brother....and thank you.

Reminds me of these soccer parents that scream and yell at their kids, that is why my kids do martial arts, and they often don't get the metal, and try and have a breakdown when that happens, but there are no crazy parents screaming on the sidelines so it is a lesson rather than a sad time.

I had my oldest in soccer for 5 years. Yeah, that was enough. Parents get worse as their kids get older lol! The NFL just brings that noise to a whole new level!

Snowing in NY, hope NJAP, Brian, Ken, and all those that went get home safely. Have a great day chatter.

WHEREAS, The Washington State Senate is VERY confident the Seattle Seahawks will defeat the Denver Broncos on Sunday; and
WHEREAS, With all due respect to the fine people of the State of Colorado, the 12th Man numbered 30,000 strong just to see their team off to the Super Bowl, while Colorado managed 300 or so to see their Broncos off; and
WHEREAS, The Seattle Seahawks gave their fans much to be proud of, indeed, inspiring them to not just set the world record for stadium noise once, but TWICE in one season; and
WHEREAS, The 12th Man has been known to trigger seismic events (that would be earthquakes for you middle of the country folk), for real; and
WHEREAS, Colorado makes some fine craft beverages, but really? Do you want to start that fight with the state that invented the genre? Between fine coffee, brewers, and wineries, Seattle is the beverage capital of the United States, if not the world; and
WHEREAS, We wholeheartedly agree and hope that your admittedly incredible quarterback does resemble Mount Elbert: A little rocky and immobile; and
WHEREAS, Your 14ers are really nice, but c’mon, have you seen Mount Rainier? Cloaked in glaciers and rising nearly 2.5 miles above its surroundings, it is more singular, more monumental, and more intimidating than any of Colorado’s 14ers, much like the Seahawks over the Broncos; and
WHEREAS, The Great State of Colorado has named 53 individual 14ers after 53 individual players, because the Broncos are a band of individuals, however the State of Washington resolves to name one magnificent mountain after the Seahawks because they are and act as a TEAM;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Washington State Senate does hereby rename Mount Rainier as “Mount Seattle Seahawks” from this point until 12:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2014; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Washington State Legislature respectfully request of the United States Department of the Interior that Mount Rainier’s namesake National Park (yeah, our Mountain is that cool, it warrants its own National Park) be retitled “12th Man National Park”
for the same time period; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Sunday, February 2nd be proclaimed SEAHAWK SUNDAY in the great State of Washington.

I, Hunter G. Goodman, Secretary of the Senate, do hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of Senate Resolution 8676, adopted by the Senate January 31, 2014.
