I already have to pay $150 early upgrade fee. S4 is $50, S5 is $249, Note3 is $269. A couple weeks ago the Note3 was down to $100. Kinda kicking myself for not going for it.

**Edit** Not more then an hour after I posted this, Ye Ole Nexus pulls its "Factory Reset" trick again. Wierd thing is it's always still fully rooted, TWRP still fully functional, nothing gets borked... just wipes the apps/data. Doesn't matter what I run for apps or ROM (even factory stock 4.3, locked bootloader). I think it just hates me and whoever I sell it to will have no troubles with it...

Or it's haunted.

About the Note 3 price, yup, that was good.

I really can't stand this thing much longer, so chances are that I'll be picking up the S4 the day after I get the cheque/check in the mail. The biggest draw for the Note3 is the processor, ram, and battery. Screen size would be a bonus, but not a huge nessisity. S-pen would be something I'd have to force myself to learn to use, because I'd probably just use a finger! So... if they had a Galaxy S4s (the processor and ram of the Note3 in the S4) I'd be all over it like a dirty shirt.

So, if I'm honest the Note3 is overkill, but still... if the price drops suddenly I'm going for it over the S4. I'll do a bit more hands on with the G2, but from everything I've read the S4 is the better overall device for my usage wants/needs

Factory reset doesn't break root or delete the recovery. All it does is erase user data on your custom ROM.

Yep, I was just clarifying that. I just don't understand why it happens. It's not like there's a physical reset button that accidentally gets bumped or anything. Just very strange. *shrug* soon I'll be rid of it.

Just curious if anyone has read/heard about older Galaxy devices getting the updated TouchWiz that the S5 has? (Thinking S4 and Note3 would be the first in line, IF (big if!) it's gonna happen. I haven't looked into it, but I haven't heard anything about it either. You'd think if any info had been leaked, it would have spread around the interwebz by now. Probably won't happen, but it would be nice. Would help older devices improve the storage and performance situation.
