If I'm honest, and my limited research backs this up, nicotine addiction is NOT as hard to overcome as the MENTAL addiction people have to what they think cigarettes do for them. The psychological addiction is far stronger then the physical addiction is.

It does make sense.
I quit without notice or thinking about it beforehand.

One day, a long time ago, I was smoking a cigarette and having a beer with some friends. That's when a thought came to me:
"A cigarette, is something similar to rolling $1 bills and light a fire to them in order to burn them slow.
So, all I'm doing is burning money!"

From that day on I quit smoking!

I tried smoking in my teens. I never got addicted to them,so it was easy for me to stop( psychological or nicotine) . I think it took me a week or more to smoke a pack . I smoked 1 to 2 cigarettes a day when I was 15. On the weekends maybe a few more.It wasn't a constant trend even when I did smoke I didn't constantly have a pack with me. I totally quit when I was 17.
