[Chatter] "Where everybody knows your name ..."

I'll try but gah. My current phone is getting so very worn down. Really disappointed with the G4
Believe me...few years ago, I had a similar problem. I had a HTC EVO that was dying, and I held out for the HTC M7 instead of getting the HTC EVO 4G.

Just hold on a little bit longer.

Just looked deep into the archives of chatter. It's so weird to see me talking about being in high school. Feels like a lifetime ago. I get that I am not that old.. but it doesn't change how it feels

It was sick...they played Pictures, Tarkus, and the first album.

Man...your post really dug up some memories of that time, the shows I've seen...

Two friends of mine...one's first show was the actual Allman Bros. Live at the Filmore concert, the other's first show was Madison Square Garden Led Zeppelin recording of Song Remains the Same. I hate them both...

Did Greg add a snippet of Epitaph to The Battlefield?

To be honest, I wish I remembered. It was '72, I'm somewhat surprised I can remember anything from that time period! I do remember the most memorable song of the night was Just Take a Pebble, they absolutely killed it.

One of my best friends knew Keith Emerson pretty well, some good stories. Tragic, but I understand.

It'll feel a lot different when it's almost 30 years since graduation.

I was too young for the first round of ELP.

I was the perfect age to have seen the second round in the 90s, but somehow I was never able to go, even though I did go to a lot of concerts back in the 90s. 😞

The beauty of the time was the sound...all analog. The sound they strive for today with digital...funny how the old sound is the benchmark for today's technology. Now tube amps are back in vogue after going through the solid state stuff for a period of time.

The biggest drawback was the lack of recorded footage, quality footage to bring to today's media. Those few recordings that survive are testament to the times.

Too bad you didn't see them...however I took care of that for you LOLOLOL!!!

I do have a Technics turntable. I've had it for almost 30 years.

Moog recently reintroduced the classic analog synthesizers, including Keith's monster. https://www.moogmusic.com/products/modulars/emerson-moog-modular-system

I have a friend who is a guitarist. She restored a vintage Gibson Les Paul and uses a Fender tube amp.
