So this last week was an Android ROM flashing fest...
First up - Leagoo Shark 1 - my Android reviewer gave this device to me and it would not accept a new Google account. It wanted the original account which had signed in and reset the phone. That info wasn't available to me so I learnt how to flash a MTK processor Android device. Running like a champ now with the latest version from Leagoo released in late June. The battery on this phone is 6000 mAh+! Rest of the stuff is pretty much meh about this device.

Next up was a Nexus 5X. It had a PureNexus ROM on it. I can't get the logic behind putting a ROM called PureNexus on a Nexus...I mean it is a plain jane Vanilla Android straight from Google, so why mess with it?! Took me about 3 hours to get that back to stock primarily because I had to update my Android Unified Toolkit (I know, I know, I could just use fastboot/adb etc but I am a bit of a n00b in that area) and had to wait to download the last version it could recognize and then go through two more updates OTA before getting it to full stock.

And then third device was a Xiaomi Mi Max which took me a better part of a day and learning a bit of adb/fastboot/edl etc to revive it after the latest OTA update on that device (running the latest China Developer ROM) put it with a nice Mi logo on it. For a few hours I thought this was going to be a very expensive paperweight on the study desk. And then it took another half hour to get Play Store installed since now in MIUI 7 and up the old tricks of getting Play Store to work on it don't work like before.

All in all some good learning experience here.

In non-Android related news, got a Dell Venue 8 Pro updated to Windows10 today AM before MSFT stops the free upgrade around midnight tonight...woot!

Hard to believe summers almost over.. Its been kinda a dry,warm to hot summer.
But still I hate to see it go and the daylight get so short.
But on the plus side , can save money by not having the AC on alot ha

Summer is still here in full swing, the sweltering temperatures and forest fires remind us of that everyday and yes the AC runs pretty much from 11AM to about 10PM every day...but the mangoes have been darn good this year. There is a store here that sells the Kent variety for $3 a box and these are simply divine. Oh and somehow I had been holding off to get oranges from a farm nearby, finally did that last week. I haven't had such sweet fresh squeezed orange juice ever! They sell a box of 30-40lb oranges for $6, go figure!

I decided to try out the iphone SE .I miss the smaller phones. I went with Gold 64gb model to match my 6p .This is my first iphone ever.
