Hi AC,

I need a simple and cheap smartphone to my new workplace. There are only few requirements:

- Android system
- long stand-by time (at least 5-6 days would be ideal)
- max. 80€ / 90$ price

Others won't matter (memory, processor, etc). I won't use it much other than start and take calls.

Not a requirement but the smaller size is the better. Around 3,5 - 4" would be ideal.

Could you recommend me some smartphones please?

Verizon moto e 2nd gen. It goes on sale for $25-30 occasionally, but even full retail is under $90.

The Moto E could be a good choice but I heard some rumors about the Android 5 Lollipop that has numerous bugs and leaks and it performs slowly and often collapses. I don't know if it's the true or just rumors.

gone down south: If you know a feature phone with touchscreen that has a good battery with extra long standby time please share it with me.

At the price range of under $90...you are not going to get a very high performing phone. It is pretty stable though. Especially with mobile data disabled, you should have no problems getting 5-6 days idle

I used the Moto e 2nd gen for a bit and it isn't bad, considering the price. The Verizon note 5 is $233 no service contract, but that is obviously a lot more.
