Cheapest android device for Google Cardboard

I am looking for a cheap device for my students that connects to wifi and is Google Cardboard (wearable device and app) compatible. Can anyone guide me in the right direction. I have one iPhone 4s I use now, but I don't have a big enough budget to buy more of those.
