Check out the HTC 10 at Verizon store on Friday!! Anyone?

Are the headphones just your standard high def unit or is there something special about them?

After some deep soul searching I just ordered mine and vzw is offering me 200 for my m8. The. S7e was my go to and all things being equal is the superior phone, but I'm hard on my equipment. I can see myself going through several devices in insurance replacements. The math just didn't work. My hands on time with the device at the store was good. If the new camera update is any help then my one major qualm is moot. Loved my m8, if the m10 serves me half as well then it's money well spent.

Leaving momentarily to go get mine from Verizon :) next: Order a Skin/case/both

Just traded in my s7 edge for the 10. So far so good. I initially said I wasn't going to get it but after playing with it at Verizon I loved it. Which for me says a lot as the s7vedge was a awesome phone. For me the build and feel in hand sold me. Plus j do love it's closer to stock then having touch wiz. So far the 10 is going strong. But it's only been a couple of hours and I'm still setting jt up.

Anyway just thought I would stop in and say hi.

Oh no..... DX I tried to enter bootloader/download mode and now nothing happens when I try to power on and if I hold vol down and power it flashes the nav keys... please please help

Ok, I ordered mine from Verizon today. I got $100 off for using the monthly payment and free shipping. (Cheaper than the HTC verizon with the $100 off code - still works btw). Also, today only, they are waiving the $20 upgrade fee. Also ordered separately the Seidio Surface case as they have kept all my HTC devices alive and kicking so far so here goes one more. Monday night delivery here I come!

edit: FYI, the Seidio site has 30% off!

Just played with the HTC 10 at Verizon for about half an hour. I still have the M9, which was an upgrade from the DNA for me. I really want to jump because of the improved camera, but a couple issues popped up for me. For one, the back button is now on the far side of the phone and there doesn't appear to be any way to change that, like there is on the M9. Having smaller hands, it makes it much harder to reach on this larger device. I wish the multitasking button was on the far side and the back on the near side.

Screen looks good at max brightness, but I'm not sure I would ever use auto brightness. The camera seemed snappy and very nice, I didn't notice any lag. Audio seemed a tad quieter than the M9.

Honestly, the back button location may be a deal breaker. I will go back and try once more and see if I can hold one not attached to the alarm tether to see if I could maybe adjust somehow. I've never owned a Sammy, but I played with them for a bit and the S7 fits my hands much better. :(

My initial thoughts coming from the m8 was that it feels like an HTC phone. Like my m8 did 2 years ago before Android updates and years of user clutter took their toll. I don't have a serious complaint about the phone, which is why I purchased it. It truly is a good phone. What it isn't, is special. It doesn't have that pop or flair that the m7 and m8 did. It feels like a cut down stripped out hot rod. Which is precisely what it is. The Samsung has a look and feel that just screams look at me. The HTC in comparison is a high speed tank which is the precise reason I chose to go with it over the more visually stunning s7 edge.

I have small hands and all buttons are pretty accessible to me. I have the S7 too.

I was to use to Samsungs back button placement as well but I am finding no issues adjusting. It's so small so u can reach across I love it. Hard to tell with the devices when they're lockrd down at the store

Finally made it to the Verizon store today and spent 20 minutes playing with the 10, comparing it to my Turbo 1. With screen brightness set at about 75% on both phones, and the 10 in Vivid mode, the 10's screen was noticeably brighter, and the colors on my Turbo looked a bit muddier, tbh - go figure, since the Turbo in AMOLED. Although not as nice as my old M7's stereo speakers, the 10's sound output was noticeably crisper and louder than my Turbo (a VzW rep noticed me comparing sound and kindly turned the in-store music almost off!). Speedtest runs on both phones were virtually identical (store has a booster). The build quality/aesthetics on the 10 is stunning, on-par or better than my M7 which I thought was one of the nicest phones ever made. The 10 is slightly taller and narrower than my Turbo, and one-handed operation was good. Bluetooth to my LG Tones seemed clearer on the 10, but that might have been placebo effect. The camera seemed plenty fast and crisp to me. All-in-all I was very pleased and consider the 10 a significant upgrade to my Turbo, which has served me well but is still sitting on 5.1. I'm nervous about giving up my 3900maH battery, wireless charging, and Moto Actions; but after 1.5 years the battery has faded a bit and USB 3.0 is supposed to be really fast, and the fingerprint scanner is a real upgrade to my pin combo. The clincher for me: The 10 priced at just under $22.83/month was sitting right next to an S5 (not an S6, not an S7, an S5) priced at $23/month! A 2016 flagship phone from a manufacturer I really like, that competes well head-to-head IMO with the S7, G5, etc; but at pricing better than a three-generations-old Samsung! I really don't NEED a new phone but I can't resist this!

Sold my s7 for this phone (mainly due to Samsung's customer service over the phone) and man did Samsung screw up letting me go because this phone is amazing. The sound quality is amazing and the software is smooth. The camera seems great for now but I am waiting for that update!

I love the cameras color where it isn't as punchy as the s7. Good job screwing up Samsung I may have not discovered this phone otherwise!

The Samsung s7 edge is a fantastic phone. I really enjoyed it. In fact I didn't think I would trade it for quite some time. But once I held the 10 Ms played with it I fell in love with it. I really enjoyed my m9 and this is a improvement on that. HTC nailed it for me.
