Thinking of buying a new SM-R800NZSAXAR USA version 46 mm Galaxy watch silver.

I like to check phone battery % from watch which I can do with Wear OS watch. Is it possible with Galaxy watch? I know there are very few apps.

I ask because there are no returns now due to COVID-19 and I don't want the watch without that function.

Thanks so much for your help!

BTW, any great sales on SM-R800NZSAXAR? They all seem to be $279 at the moment.

I have that watch and I haven't found a watch face that shows the phone battery, the only time I've known what my battery is is when it gets down to 15% and starts giving notifications

Is this watch face available in Samsung Galaxy Store?

I found it in the galaxy store for $2.00 and you might have to get an app to use that watch face kind of like using Facer to use some watch faces.

Another might be called Battery Gear Widget which is an app not a watch face. I just wonder if any actually work? I can tell you from experience there are dozens of apps for watches there that don't work and haven't been updated in years. I don't know why Samsung doesn't hire developers

I agree I wish I liked the watch face more or I would spend the $2 on it but I'm hard up on money with everything going on i haven't been able to work so I'm counting every penny. I'm looking now for some that might show the phone battery that I might like because I wouldn't mind having my phone battery on my watch. And sometimes I wonder if I should have got the fossil smart watch or a couple of the others but i got a really good deal on mine when i did get it

Yes I don't blame you. Wish I knew a free one. On my old gear I paid for that watchface but only use it to check phone battery % then I switch back to gear built in face.

Maybe I should just buy a wear os watch. They just don't look as nice. No complex faces like the Gear. I use Samsung email app so notifications only work on Samsung watches unless I switch to Gmail.

I will let you know what I find I'm searching through facer right now and I'm trying to find other 3rd party apps that have watch faces. It looks like to get the watch face you showed you have to install niantic first so I might see if I can install that and see if I can look through more faces

Thanks mate but don't waste money on my account! I think I found one that will work for me but it is a widget not a watchface and it still costs money. You also have to disconnect it after each use because it drains too much battery otherwise.

I'm going to look mainly in the digital watch faces since I only use different analog but if i had to choose between the galaxy watch and apple watch i would still go galaxy even though the apple can do some more things. I just like the look so much better, now if I had an apple phone I might go with the apple watch. From what I understand to use the apple watch on an android phone you have to get an app to make it work and you lose a lot of the functions that it has, but that's just what I've been told I haven't been able to actually pair one with my phone to try it.

This is the main one I use something nice and elegant and gives a lot of info but I have a bunch of free ones to choose from depending on where I'm going and what I'm wearing. But really nice events I wear either my fossil that you can see the internals moving or my citizen.

I would absolutely buy the Apple watch IF it only would provide all the notifications I want from my Note but of course it will not. When I bought the note I almost bought an iPhone JUST to get the apple watch with full functionality however the Note is just so much better for me at work.

I like the Fossil watch but it costs as much as the Galaxy with specs that don't match up.

Very attractive and minimalist. I like a LOT of info on the watch face which makes it look too busy BUT i like the info. I like weather with icon, analog and digital together with watch battery and phone battery percentages. I also like a lot of color. No class just nerdy.

Yea I was just looking into that and I have mine paired to a note too and I was the same way when I got my note I was on the fence about note or apple x, I think suunto made a smart watch and I know my suunto core is built for war it's made so tough and I have heard some reviewers on youtube talk about the Garmin watch but I take those reviewers with a grain of salt. What one person may think is the greatest another might think is ****e.

This is about the most busy I can think of that I have and I do use it from time to time.

Now we're talking! LOL That's right up my alley.
I'm wearing a Gear 2 at the moment believe it or not. Still works fine. Looks best with stock watch face but it takes pictures and has an ir blaster that still works!
My Android watch is an Asus 2. All the watch faces include phone battery % but it only gets about 8 hours of screen time with always on function enabled.

Hey could you use Bixby on watch to tell you phone battery percentage?

This one works really well, but you have to keep in mind a couple things. One, you must download and install the companion app from the Play Store called Gear Data Provider. It's a small app which is what will communicate phone battery info to the Gear device. Secondly, if you want to make sure the phone battery stays fairly current on your watchface, you will want to go into apps on your phone and make sure GDP app is not being optimized. Let it run in the background. It doesn't use much juice in my experience.

Not displaying phone battery is a limitation of Tizen OS, and devs don't want to go through the hassle of having to create a separate app for the phone. Facer has tons of free watchfaces that display phone battery as well. The companion app is built into facer for any watchface. You would also have to go into apps and make sure it's not being optimized either, if you want the battery info to stay updated routinely.
