I have the Note 5 and am looking for a replacement for one of my favorite apps called Checkbook made by Digital Life. The app hasn't been updated in close to 3 years so it is not working correctly with the new Note 5.

The app I need can be fairly basic as I just need to be able to track a savings and a checking account. I would love for it to sync to Drop Box or at least backup to my device. I am not looking for any online app that syncs with my financial institution.

Thanks in advance.

I use expense iq. I have used it for a while and like it pretty well.

Same boat I've used that app for YEARS and was so disappointed it doesn't work 100% on the Note 5!!! The only part that really sucks is there's no way to access the settings menu to kill the vibration and background service for scheduled transactions which I never used.

Expense iq looks fantastic! Thanks so much. My only problem is that I cam't seem to get my purchase to go through so I've emailed the developer to see if they can help this to happen. But this looks great for me!

Thanks again.

Your other thread about the missing menu button has a solution that I've found works.

I've used moola for several years. Still my favorite.

Since Checkbook hasn't worked 100% on the Note 5 I've found Checkbook Plus (different devs) to be really good.

I've been using HomeBudget for years. Used Easy Check for years before that but didn't like their updating their app to Expenses IQ. Plus if you switch phones a lot, have multiple devices, or multiple people to keep track of (iPhone included) you can sync or restore between them. They've also been keeping it pretty consistent with updates.

You might also want to take a look at Mint, by Intuit (Quicken/QuickBooks).

You can track multiple bank accounts, credit cards, physical assets, investment accounts, etc. It's cloud based, free and they have a decent mobile client and a great web client.

Ok thanks for all the ideas. I'll check all these out tonight as well as look at the solution to my issue in the other thread. Thanks again, I'll post back later as to what I decided to go with.

I just use a regular Excel spreadsheet on my PC and stored on my onedrive account which I can access anytime from my phone.
