[AC Question]

I live in China and ought a phone..no name or make. Here is what about phone says : Model:4G, Android 4.4.3 , Software : PC759GN_HEXT_S1_4G_V1.0.4_user_r26441
Baseband: MT6592
Kernel: 8 core Android 4.4.3
Hardware Version: V1.0.0
I would really like to install google play, but the links for akp files, download and the the google framework message pops up. So maybe I could Root it first, but I have no idea where to find any info on this phone?
Any help appreciated

How about the store where you bought it, can they help you out in any way?

Not knowing the brand and model makes it very difficult to find help for that device.

You shouod just be able to install the gapps.zip pack in a custum recovery that is deaigned for your phone.

So is my 4.4.3 a kit kat or jelly ? Im a novice at this. I bought it from a chinese shop and the guy spoke no English, so will be difficult to communicate.

So I can just unpack this Gapps CyanogenMod 11 , add to my phone and it should work? Or does the phone need to be rooted?

Gapps.zip is a custom recovery install (you would leave it in the zip and install zip from sd card in recpvery) that is not stock recovery.

You would odin flash that.

Do not unpack it.
You do not haft to be rooted to have a custom recovery on most devices. Your device may vary

Adb fastboot will work in odins place on alot of devices.

It requires you to use cmd line in windows.
