Chinese Ebay batteries...Huge thumbs up

Does anyone have another source for an external charger. The batteries are fine but the charger takes a very long time to charge. Almost 6-7hrs to charge. I was able to charge two batteries with the phone before the external charger finished one

Thank you in advance

And the ones you charged with your external charger will last you a whole lot longer than the ones you charged with your phone.

I bought these batteries and out last my OEM and seido 1750 battery. I can get about 21 hours on one charge using the wall charger. I get about 18 hours on the OEM battery and the extended battery. My test was very unscientific but they last a long time.

These batteries are great. I usually get about 8-11 hours on the OEM battery...maybe 12 if I dont use it much at all. These cheap ebay batteries give me about 15-18 hours with pretty good amount of usage.

Great bang for the buck.

I've had these for about 3 weeks and can say that they are great! Batteries last as long, or longer than the stock red batt. I have been primarily wall charging all 3 batts, and have been rotating them consistently to make sure they are used equally.

To date, this has been an AWESOME!!! purchase - I went camping last weekend and brought all 3. I turned on airplane mode as there was no reception (except GPS, which I didn't need) and used the phone mostly as a camera and video camera!! also listened to music on BT stereo headphones while fishing! After 2 1/2 days I still had over 50% battery on the 3rd batt.

In the non-camping world I get about 10-12 hours of moderate use, 1/2 of that with hotspot and 4G on. Its great to not have to worry about batteries running dead and therefore being able to take full advantage of the capabilities of the EVO. This afternoon I turned on 4G and hotspot and my son watched a streaming TV show on our wifi iPad while I surfed the net, made calls and did email on the phone - take that iPhone 4 :-P

I ordered these 2 days ago. My battery is so bad... It will barely last 8 hours and all I am doing is texting and at MOST 1 hour of internet. Wifi/4G/GPS are turned off. I hope these batterys last longer.

Anyone else waiting for theres? I have been waiting since the 26th. Hopefully they come soon.

I got the batteries today. After I charge and discharge the batteries a few times I will give a report on the battery life.

Well I believe I may be the first to have a problem with these batteries. One of them has overheating problems. I should say it has false temperature sensors. The battery is not hot, bit showing 130+ F at times. Now, you might think that isn't too big of a deal...however the phone shuts down immediately, so the battery is useless. I sent an email to the eBay seller, and in broken English I get the idea they're mailing me a replacement, so thats good. The other battery is doing fine.

Got my battery (2) in the mail a couple days ago. Saved my gf at work the other day since she can barely make it through a shift on a single full charge. Just wondering, is it safe to charge the OEM HTC battery in the wall charger that came with the Chinese batteries?

Hi everyone!

Newbie here, I got my EVO about 3 weeks and loving it. I'm in same boat with battery life. I originally searching for OEM USB car charger for my EVO then came across this thread and I also ordered it. Thanks for the great info.

Going for these as well - perfect, considering how much tethering drains the battery.

Now, sorry to sidetrack but for the love of anything I haven't been able to find a car charger that actually works. I tried 2 different ones from eBay and 1 from monoprice and they all stop charging or charge inconsistently. Same for the USB->Home Power adapters - they all do the same thing.

I originally had the charger problems with the Pre and thought it was picky. Well, EVO is just as picky.

Anyone?

I bought the motorola charger from amazon...something like 12 dollars. Works very well. Search for motorola micro usb car charger. You'll see several comments from htc evo users under the product.

I tell you what, charging the original battery thru the wall charger has done WONDERS. For those that may not have noticed this, but when the Evo is plugged in a charger and it gets to 100%, at some point it stops using the charger for power and starts using the battery, even if its still on the charger. It's no supposed to do this. This is why the battery level will go from 100 to 90 or sometimes worse within a few minutes. It's been really annoying to have to do the "bump" charging in order to get more than 6-8 hours. Bump charging I would get over 12 hours of battery. I can definitely see me getting 15+ EASY charging the battery thru the wall charger. Werd..

Thats what I've noticed too...I think there is a hardware defect in the design of the Htc Evo charging circuitry.

I've hit a snag with one of the Chinese batteries I got. I'll have it in my phone fully charged and use the device for awhile, say ~1hr. and then the Evo will just shut itself off. It's like the Evo indicates the battery has plenty of charge left but it is actually dead. Put the OEM battery back in and it boots up just fine. The other one (Chinese) works just fine. Guess 1 outta 2 ain't bad for 10 USD. Cheers!

I ordered the batteries/charger from the original post, just received them. Going to charge them up and give them a try.

Anyone else have updates/thoughts about these batteries?
