Chinese SIM card not working in my LG G4.. How to fix this?

Studying in China and my phone is not working. I checked on willmyphonework.net and I don't think it's a base band issue however I could be wrong. I have a China Unicom card currently.

I can send and receive phone calls and receive texts with this SIM. However I can't send texts or use 4G. I don't know what to do. Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Sounds like you need to get the APN information from your carrier there, and enter it into your phone. This is a common issue with "unlocked" phones.

It needs to know how to authenticate you for 3g/4g, and the gateway to send sms/mms through. The information is not included on the sim card.
