Android Central Question

I have a Samsung S8 and use ChompSMS for text messaging.

I would like to use one of my own sound files for the notifications, but, cannot see where to put it on the phone for it to be able to pick up.

There are 2 folders in Main storage (Notifications and Ringtones) and I have copied the file into both of these.

If I go to ChompSMS, Settings, Notifications, Ringtone then the only 2 places it offers to choose from are Ringtones and Music. The Ringtones option offers a list of sounds, but, doesn't include mine. The Music option offers a list of all the music tracks I have on the SD card!

Can anyone tell me how I can load my own file on to the phone so that I am able to pick it within ChompSMS, please?

1. The music file you want to use has to be the same type (wav, mp3, ogg, etc.) that it's showing.

2. After putting the file in Ringtones, restart the phone.

3. If nothing else works, email help@chompsms.com andask for assistance. Give them the make and model of the phone, the version of Android you're running and the version of Chomp SMS you're using.
