choose input method

every time the keyboard is open I have a small keyboad icon in notification tray. it is forever asking for me to choose my input method.

I've chosen my input method about 105 times. but it's still asking...

your thoughts?

while I'm at it. sometimes when in a browser I get different keyboard layouts. why is that?

Did you go to settings, language and keyboard, and only check what you want as your default keyboard input? That keyboard should appear in your notifications without having to change it unless you want to.

Any time my keyboard is up on my s5 I get the keyboard icon. It let's you easily switch keyboards when typing and goes away when the keyboard goes away. Its just the way it is.


On my nexus 7_13 this doesn't happen. I presume!e that's because it only has the stock google keyboard installed.
