After mulling my options, I have decided to order a pixel 4. After getting reaquainted with my pixel 2 XL I decided I really like the at ci android experience enough to go ahead and buy a pixel 4 even though my galaxy s20 us my current daily driver most of the time.
I know I'll be dropoing off some screen resolution, but not much. Pixel 4 is an OLED display, right? It may not have the vividity of the S20, but I think I like the more natural coloration. Don't get me wrong, S20 is still a great device, but I just love the stock Android experience.
Plus I actually did a picture comparison between my P2 XL and S20 and it seemed the pixel was more true to what you see with your own eyes. S20 seemed to saturate things and give them a more vivid color than they really were. So I am inclined to believe if the pixel 2 XL took quality photos that I like, I can only assume the pixel 4 will do so and even better
I paid $336 for the orange pixel 4, it will be refurbished. Did I get a decent deal?
What can I expect in terms of battery? With my 2xL I could get about 36 hours with 5-6 screen on time on a single full charge. Can I get that with the pixel 4?
Pixel 4 getting an extra year or two of software updates over the S20 also helped sway me into going for it.
I know I already spent $800 in June on my S20, but pure stock Android was just too hard to resist. I may sell my pixel 2 XL and S9+ to more or less recoup what I spent on my pixel 4. If I kept them I'd have way more phones than I can keep up with lol. Plus if someone needed a phone id be able to sell them one without having to charge an arm and a leg.
