Chrome "add to desktop"

Recently updated to android 12 and have noticed all my shortcuts I've saved to my phone have been greyed over with "this short cut is no longer valid"
I've looked in the settings and the option to add a short cut from chrome has been removed *
I've uninstalled it and tried the update but it's no longer there!
Pretty annoying as I've had a fair few quick shortcuts for work sites and forums.

I think this has been a challenge in the past, but usually when migrating to a new device.

I've looked in the settings and the option to add a short cut from chrome has been removed ������������*

I still have the option in Chrome on my Pixel 4a 5G and on my Tab S7, both running Android 12.

I'll check my work phone which is older but have tried other browsers and that option is no longer there

I can add a shortcut from Chrome and Brave browsers straight to home screen
