Anyone else using the Chrome Beta browser on their Prime? Although I like the chrome sync, and some of the effects, I find that it runs laggy on the Prime, especially when scrolling up/down on a page.

Another problem is that the scroll bar on the right seems to be hard to "grip" with your finger since it is so thin. The stock browser has a wider scroll bar, so it makes it easier to jump further down on a page. Not to mention the lack of flash support, which the stock Browser runs fine. I would also like to see a "Home" button.

Overall, I think the stock browser is still better for tablets. I use Chrome on my Galaxy Nexus and prefer it over the stock browser on that device. But on the Prime, it's not there yet....

I prefer Chrome over the stock browser on every device I have but it's especially awesome on the Prime because it behaves more like the desktop version of Chrome. I do agree the tabs, buttons and scroll bar could be bigger. It's still way early, for a beta on it's second update they nailed it. It will only get better.

The lag you mentioned I have seen but to be honest I think that's the Prime in general. I've seen it in multiple apps including games and the stock browser. Not sure the cause but I'm running the latest version of Virtuous, not stock, and I still see the issue. Once CM9 gets a few updates under it's belt I'll give it a shot and see if that fixes the issue. Still too many issues with CM9 on the Prime for me to use it as a daily driver.

The only time that I use the stock browser over Chrome now is if I go to a site and it gives me the "mobile" version instead of the normal version. I'm on a quad-core tablet using a wifi connection, why would I want the version of the site that is optimized for 3G on a mobile phone?

It's installed, but not finished enough for me to use all the time. I also need flash quite a bit, so it's out for that reason. Stock is ok, and my bookmarks are transferred in with stock, so it's fine.

Oh I want to like chrome and use it as my main browser, but it just doesn't interact with the Transformer Prime keyboard dock well at all. I can't even spell its name properly here because if I try to capitalize "c" it does a backspace. Shift+c is backspace on chrome for android, at least on my Transformer Prime keyboard dock. Either shift, left or right, every time, yes with capslock on as well. Even worse is shift+b which will do a return.

So basically, while I find chrome to the be fastest of the browsers I've loaded onto the Prime, I can't use it for forum viewing. Since if I want to type something, I find it a chore.

For the record neither the default browser nor Dolphin HD suffer from this bizarre bug. No other app reacts in any sort of similar manner, just chrome.

Yes I sent Google feedback telling them about the bug.

That is strange. I was hoping to use Chrome Beta. I will test this out when it is delivered.

I actually like Chrome, I have it, the stock browser, opera and dolphin, and the first one I use is always Chrome. I've been trying to see how many tabs I could open in Chrome and so far I have 118 and no slow down, I might try to see if I can get to 200.

PRIMED AND READY!!!! Ohh, yeah TAPATALK, got that too!!

Been using Chrome on and off. It's just not smooth enough, and it's too difficult to get to bookmarks. It often hangs when loading websites, and is only smooth once everything is loaded. Not so with Dolphin, Opera, or Boat - they're smooth as butter, but each has its own quirks. Stock browser is a choppy mess, but has a nice interface. Lack of flash in Chrome wouldn't be that big of a deal if it wasn't for the fact that only about 50% of html 5 videos play properly (can't fault it for this just yet - I'm sure it'll get better soon). I want to like Chrome, but like every other browser, it gets several things right a falls fatally sorry in others... Why can't I have it all??

also, I can't seem to find the history at all. Rather inconvenient when it F/Cs and I can't find the pages I was just on. For a beta, though, it's quite nice.

I've used it exclusively since it was released and I can say that the performance on my old rooted ICS Xoom was pretty bad.

It has been running 10x better on the Prime so I have hope that once its out of beta it'll be my default browser.

Also, is anyone having issues with YouTube links and Market links opening in Chrome instead of in their respective apps? How do I change this in Chrome?

It's kept crashing my other computers when They linked. I wont be using it until it out of beta

I find myself using either Chrome or Dolphin. They are both great. My only gripe with Chrome is the infamous no flash support. Other than that, I have no issues. I use Chrome and Waterfox on my laptop, so it wasn't an issue on my prime.

Yes I sent Google feedback telling them about the bug.

I had reported some of the weirdness with using a docked keyboard to the devs and they said they are working on implementing a solution to detect docked keyboards (physical or bluetooth) and adjust some of the behaviors (like auto-focusing the omnibar).

I'm hoping these features make it into one of the next 2 updates.

Nice to hear I'm not the only one with the problem, and that it's being worked on. I was beginning to think it was only me, or that I've gone crazy.

Is anyone else having Chrome crash or just simply stop responding. I find that Chrome runs sluggish on my Prime, enough so that I actually turn Performance mode on to try to compensate. It doesn't really help which leads me to believe it's a software issue with Chrome. Here is what I am seeing more than occassionally when using Chrome:

- Unresponsive for a few seconds to a minute - can't press links or open tabs etc
- Receiving ICS "program not responding" box. Have to choose "Wait" or "Close Program".
- Crashing - ICS displays the "Send error report" box...

Anyone else that uses Chrome as their primary browser seeing these types of issues with Chrome?

I am seeing the same things that you are describing. It's annoying to me, but I wouldn't say it is really frustrating. Still too many things that I enjoy that prevent me from going back to the Browser.

Yes, I had big problems with Chrome crashes. It also crashed my PC's when it tried to sync them. No thanks google.

I really like the quick menu the stock browser has where you swipe from the bezel and have all kinds of controls available. I I couldn't find that option in chrome so I uninstalled it. Did I just miss it?
