Chrome browser is slow and locking up!

I have excellent WiFi signal yet it lags bad or either just won't load!!Can I use another browser with google?

Welcome to Android Central! First, go to Settings>Apps>All, select Chrome, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now try again.

Does everything else on the phone work fine on the internet?

There are plenty of 3rd party browsers you can install from Google Play. Some of the better ones include Dolphin Browser, Boat Browser, Maxthon Browser, and Now Browser.
