Chrome freezing lagging amd crashing on Moto G5. Help!

[AC Question]

I have to wait several seconds when I first started using Chrome- including the bar at top of home screen. And I have deleted everything from my phone. My other phone-in like Moto g4, which actually had more apps installed- works better. Got much worse after.last two updates.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried clearing the app cache/data from Chrome in the Settings>Apps​ menu?
