I'm running 4.4 on my Nexus 4 and Chrome will not keep any tabs in RAM if I leave the app. Every time I exit Chrome and come back, the tab has to reload. My phone has 2GB of RAM, no reason it can't at least cache the pages. Anyone have a solution to this? I feel it didn't reload all the time before, but I could be mistaken.

Chrome do keep the tabs on RAM but thats not the problem you are seeing.

Chrome is slow at loading cached tabs from memory. but with todays update to chrome 31 i am seeing a huge improvements to it.

Its loads a lot faster. I just got the update half hour ago.

Yeah, I got the update and it's definitely better. I can open a tab, leave, search for something in Google Now and go back to the 1st tab and it won't reload. Thanks for the tip, I should have checked for updates before complaining, lol.

On nexus 5 it seems to be resolved..howz chrome when enabling ART ..? I use dolphin .. It does not reload the pages everytime you switch the process.. I think Chrome does not reload the pages from RAM ..it does not load the page if the network/wifi is switched off !!
