Chrome proxy server error on n7

Suddenly, I have a new problems on chrome. I constantly get a notice about a proxy server. Note tells me to use wrench to correct setting if I don't use proxy server. I can't find wrench, much less the following setting choices. I love chrome as it synchs across devices. I tried opera last night and would far prefer to fix this issue in chrome.

I started getting this after I installed adblock. Once I disabled it no more problems.

On a hunch I simply cleared the cache on adblock plus and it seemed to work. I'll let you know if this turns out to be only a temporary fix. I'm on a nexus 4 so it might not work on a 7.

How did you un-install? Drag and drop or do you have an app? Looking for a decent one. Use Revo on the PC.

Thanks for the 411 on this problem gents and ladies! I was feeling less than pleased and very Noobtastic because I felt like yelling at the wall "there is no such setting!" My problems seemed to start after I downloaded the new Chrome "Beta" along side the stock install.(then quickly spread to the stock install) I realize correlation does not equal causation but one must admit its a bit of a coincidence. could it be the Goog is starting to push back against the profit loss ad blockers represent?

After forcing a reload of the filter rules, I stopped getting the proxy errors.
