Why does chrome reload a page after 5 mins. Example. I go onto a betting site. Log in. Go back out home screen for a few minutes and when I click on chrome again the page loads up again. Instead of being there. Never a problem on safari. I'm just wondering is there an app that's killing chrome or something. It's really frustrating that I have to keep logging into a page every few minutes.

Because chrome has its problems :) But the case you're explaining, it's because sites are always updating and its refreshing to give you the current content. It's making you re-login cause stats have changed on the site and it's kicking your login info to the curb. On safari, and I know from experience, doesn't refresh sites upon reloading. It shows exactly the same info from five minutes before. You have to manually refresh. Safari will though, send refresh commands and update sites itself but only after a length of time.

Some Sites also won't and don't save log in information unless you're actively on the page. It's a safety feature that some sites, such as p0rn, betting, pirating, etc. to keep others from accessing it without your permission if you set your phone down.

Example: You're in a bar on a betting site. You set your phone down and ask your friend to watch it while you go pee so you exit out of the site. Your friend decides to look at what you're doing and start safari. WOW, there it is for the taking....He decides to take it upon himself to bet....

So instead, the site knows you exited for x amount of time and logs you out to keep that from happening.
