Chrome tabs disappeared

My Chrome tabs disappeared and now show up as a list of open pages rather than the tabs or cards. I can't find anything in the settings that controls this. How do I get the tabs back?

What device are you using? Are you talking about the screen that shows when you tap the browser tab management button right next to the URL bar?

Moto z4 phone. Yes. There is a button next to the url bar that shows how many tabs I have open. It used to show tabs or cards with a preview of the page, but now just shows a list. That's odd, I've never seen that. What version of Chrome are you running? I'm on 89.0.4389.105. Also, you're not on the Beta version, right?

I agree with Mustang, it's possible that the option was changed in Chrome flags. Just in case search for "Grid" in the flags and make sure it's enabled.

Actually I just seen OP screen shot so looks like messed with chrome flags , try resetting chrome by long press it then tap info then storage clear data then force stop

Actually I am getting the same thing. I haven't messed with flags. So dunno.

Even changing the tabs to default to grid it stays as a list too. Not on beta. Very weird.

I hadn't messed with the flags, but I set grid layout to default and enabled and no change. I've also rest my phone to factory settings for a different reason but it didn't resolve this.

I also just cleared all data from the browser and forced stop. Didn't fix.

Nope. Didn't help.

Hmm. All I can suggest at this point is to send some feedback to Google about this in the Chrome settings.

I found a fix that worked for me. Under accessibility settings, make sure this box is left unchecked and it fixed my problem. After an update I noticed the change. Hope this helps yall.
