chrome vs Samsung internet?

I gotta ask the question??

what are we using the internet for?? seriously?? i seem to check my google news feeds then just use apps.

Frankly I'm loving the Brave browser.

Takes its aesthetic from Chrome, so it's familiar, but has a host of ad blocking, 3rd party cookie blocking, Fingerprinting protection, (I had to look that up, and I'm very glad now that Brave has it), etc.

If you haven't tried it, you should do so.

Another one of those jump through hoops to get your favorites over though.

However, IMHO it was well worth it.
I also like and use Brave for mobile. It looks like Chrome, its fast and along what you mentioned, it can close all tabs when I close browser.
I also have Samsung Internet for downloading videos.
Chrome is not in use any more as I don't want to sync anything with desktop where I use chrome. It does use a lot of RAM but I have 8GB. So no problem on PC.

To each their own... The browser happens to be the first app I go to often when I open my phone. I have half to a dozen sites I like to check often just like when I am at home or work on my desktop.

Then my top apps I go to are probably YouTube and Twitter. For news, following a few "(insert fav news station) Breaking News" sites along with your other favs like Android Central news, I think the latest news shows up on Twitter before the other news feed sources.

I don't want (Google, Samsung, Apple, Microsoft, ... ) curated news feed.

Edge and Firefox, and Apple, show what tabs are open on other devices.

Even when there is an app for a news organization, prefer the web.

25 tech sites, 50 news outlets.

I am leery of a browser with two years when I know security vulnerabilities are prevalent. Many times a browser us just a front end UI on top of core web engine.

Samsung offering to open both in background and in a new foreground might seem minor but which I use a lot.

Also putting bookmarks in easy reach, not three steps away. Even Edge and Chrome forcing you to access from the top of the screen.

Google is paying Apple $9-crazy-billion smackers to be the search engine on iOS is crazy. Yes, Google really made the web easier to use and find what you're looking for. And I search the web a dozen times a day. And iOS must be big data business for Google.

Seriously, I'd like to avoid Google at all costs, even to the point of abandoning Android as well as any Google app. That Google news feed is a data gold mine of your preference and interests to them.

I started to think about how to answer this question with a short answer. I'm kind of surprised the question was asked. My short answer - I use the Internet for a million (exaggeration - but a LOT) different things. I use it every day , and about a 50/50 split between work related and personal interests.

I use the browser for almost everything, dont even use stupid Tapatalk for forums.

I have been an avid Chrome user for years. Decided to try Samsung Internet beta with Adblock Fast extension last night. I gotta say my phone runs a lot better now. Didn't realize how memory intensive Chrome is, not to mention the internet speed difference.! Plus no more ads! Samsung Internet beta ftw 💯
