Chromecast at best buy

I have a gift card to for best buy and and I check the Web site daily and it says sold out... Any ideas when google will be able meet demand?

You're asking the question we'd all like an answer to. The only answer I can give is when it gets there, which is not helpful. I'll assure you that Google is working hard to pump these things out as fast as they can, though.

Was at my local Best Buy yesterday and saw an empty Chromecast display front and center as soon as you walk in. Hopefully that is a good sign that they expect more in soon.

Some sellers at Amazon have them, BUT they want a premium price, 60 to 70 dollars....

Thanks but I was meaning in stores like Bestbuy, Target, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack etc. Wife is heading down for some cross border shopping next week. I'm afraid I'm going to be out of luck for a Chromecast however.

I believe only Best Buy, Amazon, and the Google Play Store were announced as official retail channels for the Chromecast.

Just checked my local store in San Antonio, TX. They said the only one's in the state are in Brownsville and McAllen, TX. Go get 'em.

Same here, checked the website this morning and my local best buy had them. Picked up 2, can't wait til after work to hook them up.

I managed to pick up two at my local Best Buy today. I checked the BB website and said "in store only" called and they said they had 20 in stock. BB has them sporadically so you need to check often.

Does anyone know how they are doing the Amazon code for Best Buy? I had a friend pick me up one and she said they asked for a phone number... Just trying to get ahold of that code.

Just got back from the bb in orange, ct...they had 20 chromecasts hanging on the display. The cashier asked for my phone # and an hour later there was an email waiting for me with my redemption code. I went to the website, entered the code and it applied the 3 free months.

Yeah just bagged me 2 ChromeCast @ Mooresville NC BestBuy. Plus got my 3 months Netflix codes via email before even leaving the store, was looking for additional accessories for my phone. BestBuy sales guy took really good care of me and used my $25 rewardzone points. BB is great for some things and completely unknowledgeable on other stuff. Samsung Experience store rep did not know if BB Rocketfish mhl cables would work with my Note 2 and neither did some of there sales staff. Oh well still a good day for me now!

Been checking my local BB each week for the last 3. They get the truck in on Wednesdays and their employees had been buying them before the public could get their hands on them. Finally got lucky tonight. I went by there and they had 3 on the shelf! Loving it so far

You know I was thinking the same thing here lately. I just did not want to spread rumors/conspiracies or a lies around. I believe you are onto something with the employees doing that. Believe what they might be doing is calling up a friend/family member on their phone and seeing what the Chromecast are going for on Ebay! Along the lines of saying "Come pick up a couple these items, I will sell them at a huge profit and split some of the profits with you!". One just never knows when things like this goes on due to the Supply & Demand rule!!! Eventually I hope everyone that wants the Chromecast will be able to get at some point!

I cant decide on this. I see my store as well as the surrounding stores(mn/ia) got them tonight. I would mostly use for netflix I think but I have a ps3 for tgat. All depends on future possibilities

As others have been saying keep checking your local best buys. I got mine today in store. I had to wait in line for 45 mins and I got the last one. I can't believe how popular these are.
