Chromecast Blocked by Gear watch

I had a chromecast set up to a laptop and tested it to success. The second the clients (both wearing Gear 2 smart watches) sat down the chromecast would show connected on the TV and show the proper WIFI network however the PC would not locate it. After much troubleshooting and uninstall-re-installs it still would not work. The moment the clients stepped out of the room the computer was able to locate the Chromecast and I went back to working normally. The only thing I can think is that the Gear was attempting to connect and somehow was blocking the PC from locating it. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so is there a workaround other than turning off their watches?

Welcome to Android Central!

The Gear 2's or at least one of them was probably connected to the Chromecast. They are set to auto connect to any WiFi available when the WiFi is turned on.
