Chromecast - Casting private YouTube videos

Why is it that Chromecast won't let me cast my own YouTube videos if I have them marked "private". I understand not being able to watch other private videos, but i'm logged into YouTube with my own account...I guess the Chromecast isn't? Seems like an oversight to me..they should allow you to cast all your own videos regardless of the privacy setting on them.

Correct. The Chromecast is streaming the videos directly from youtube. It doesn't matter if you are logged in on your control device. A way around it would be to mark is unlisted.

Since Chromecast can deal with playing Netflix videos that normally require a login to access, I expect that login to YouTube should be added at some point.
