Chromecast reboots randomly while not in use

I recently added an auto-detecting HDMI switch to my A/V setup. I have my Chromecast and PS3 running through the switch. The last few times I've used the PS3 the Chromecast has rebooted itself which causes the switch to detect a new source and switch inputs to the Chromecast in the middle of my game/movie.

I think it's really more a problem with the switch since the auto-detect "feature" can't be disabled but I'm just curious if this is normal behavior for the Chromecast. Has anyone else seen this happen?
